چکیده
This article demonstrates a feasible approach towards minimizing negative impact of combustion, which comprises low net carbon emissions operation internal combustion engines while achieving ultra-low engine-out exhaust emissions. Ultra-low emission was achieved by combining Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition (RCCI) concept and the use an advanced fuel mix featuring life cycle consists hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) as representative high reactivity renewable methane rich (greater than95% volume) natural gas (MRNG) being model representing biomethane. Comprehensive mapping identification optimal operating regions small-swept volume engine performed using experimental setup comprising real-time acquisition control systems, developed specifically for robust RCCI operation. Combustion process tailored to comply with limits mechanical stresses components, favourable thermodynamic parameters thus optimized based on sensitivity analysis rate recirculation (EGR) energy share supplied MRNG, are main influencing NOx soot in concept. Experimental results demonstrate that it is possible simultaneously achieve NOx, PM PN innovative resulting significant decrease life-cycle compared conventional fuels account higher CO THC emissions, what known disadvantage

This paper presents results from the characterization of vehicle exhaust that were obtained primarily within the Swedish Urban Air Project, "Tätortsprojektet." Exhaust emissions from both gasoline- and diesel-fueled vehicles have been investigated with respect to regulated pollutants (carbon monoxide [CO], hydrocarbon [HC], nitrogen oxides [NOx], and particulate), unregulated pollutants, and in...
متن کاملExhaust Emission Analysis of an Internal Combustion Engine Fuelled with Hydrogen-Ethanol Dual Fuel
The work presented in this paper is an attempt to evaluate the exhaust emission characteristics of a hydrogen-ethanol dual fuel combination with different percents of hydrogen substitutions (i.e. 0-80 % by volume and of 20 % increment ) at three different compression ratios of 7:1, 9:1 and 11:1. Experimental investigations have been carried out on a computer interfaced with; four-stroke cycle, ...
